Dream baby
Got me dreamin` sweet dreams
The whole day through
Dream baby
Got me dreamin` sweet dreams
Night time too
I love you and I`m dreamin` of you
That won`t do
Dream baby, make me stop my dreamin`
You can make my dreams come true
Mom and I have prayed our whole lives for God's grace.
When it comes to the end of life we know it is only the grace of God that will save us.
We also know how important family is. After all, what do we really have in this life more important to us than family.
This website is about family, our family, a family of Irish Catholic and Italian Catholic ancestry.
I seldom go to church anymore but did today. I had not planned on going to church but caught the Holy scent of insense as I walked by. My sinuses cleared. I went in to find it was ending Holy Hour, the Blessed Sacrament exposed for the last fifteen minutes. I had a good pray. I could say I had a religous experience but that is between me and The Lord and, of course, Mom.
As I was walking from our parish church over to see Mom at the home, the verse from the Roy Orbison classic "Dream Baby" was stuck in my head. It was just the right beat for me to keep a brisk pace going. Unfortunately my shoes did not want to cooperate. I had to keep slowing my pace because my shoes were hurting my feet. Badly. They had begun hurting me the day before, when I walked this same route to the psychic reader's shop. It was the first time I went to see a psychic and it was not because I wanted a reading. It was about another matter, oddly, one that dealt with shoes. My Grandma Tessie's shoes. It was also the first time my shoes had ever hurt me... I was looking for someone imparticular. That was not the right place. I would have to ask my sister for her name. So today, as I was walking to Mom's home I ran into my sister, right in front of the psychic reader shop I had visited the day before. She told me I was looking for a little elderly woman, possibly Italian, whose name is Nina. It was my sister who had told me I should visit this shop because of an incident that occurred over ten years earlier. Unbeknown to her, it was an incident concerning Grandma Tessie's shoes and the promise I had made her...

A prayer from Mom, 09-14-1999, Holy Hour
"Jesus, let all my bad feelings go up in the incense of worship. Call from me all that I need to let go of in Your presence here today. Help my children to hear You, Lord, so they will someday adore You with their whole hearts. I lift my children to You in this time of lifting incense. Take my children and do what You must in their lives. Help me not to interfere in anyway."
